Hello! Welcome!
I’m Jennifer, writer of We, Renaissance Women.
I live in Chicago, Illinois, and work full-time at a non-profit foundation. In May 2024, I graduated with my Master’s in Global Development, which focused on human rights, gender equality, and ending poverty. For my final capstone, I worked on a development plan to make Chicago a global sustainable fashion city. My journey to this area of work and study was largely influenced by the years in my twenties when I worked remotely and traveled solo around 50+ countries.
My passions are varied, ranging from global affairs to the history of textiles, translated novels by women, outdoor adventures, solo travel, philanthropy, secondhand shopping, sustainable development, and language learning.
What is We, Renaissance Women?
We, Renaissance Women is a place for interesting and interested women - those who are curious and are seeking new ideas in order to deepen their capacity for learning and become more well-rounded and engaged with the world.
Here, you will find new women authors to read and learn about each country in the world with a women-focused lens. There will be slow life(style) musings and interviews with other Renaissance Women about their interests and ideas. Plus, travel guides and recommendations of all varieties.
So, if you like arts and culture, travel, style and decor, lifelong learning, beautiful things, and stimulating topics, you may have found the community for you!
What do I get if I’m a free subscriber?
Every Monday, you will receive a The Week That Was newsletter: a selection of things on my mind (art & culture, activities, books, travel, food, learning, style, decor, etc.), articles and podcasts I enjoyed during the week, an album of the week, and other recommendations.
What do I get if I’m a paid subscriber?
