Welcome to We, Renaissance Women.

We, Renaissance Women is a weekday newsletter for those who are both interesting and interested—curious minds in search of knowledge, culture, and a life well lived. Here, we embody the spirit of the Renaissance woman: intellectually engaged, globally aware, and deeply passionate about culture, lifelong learning, and living with purpose.

Twice a week, you’ll receive a carefully curated dispatch featuring essays on arts and culture, reflections on intentional living, travel insights, literary discoveries, and conversations with inspiring women. Three times a week, The Intersection delivers a sharp, globally focused roundup of news, events, and thought-provoking reads.

At We, Renaissance Women, we don’t just admire culture—we engage with it. Whether your interests lie in literature, global affairs, design, or the art of continuous learning, this is a space to expand your perspective and deepen your curiosity.

Join us as we cultivate a community of modern Renaissance women—curious, cultured, and shaping the world around them.

I’m Jennifer, the writer behind We, Renaissance Women.

I call Chicago home, where I work full-time in social impact. In May 2024, I earned my Master’s in Global Development, specializing in human rights, gender equality, and poverty alleviation. My final capstone project focused on developing a plan to position Chicago as a global hub for sustainable fashion. This work is deeply connected to the years I spent in my twenties, when I worked remotely and traveled solo through more than 50 countries—experiences that shaped my perspective on both global development and the interconnectedness of our world.

My passions are wide-ranging, spanning global affairs, the history of textiles, translated novels by women, outdoor adventures, solo travel, philanthropy, vintage shopping, sustainable development, and language learning. Through We, Renaissance Women, I aim to share the ideas, people, and cultures that continually inspire and challenge me.

We, Renaissance Women is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
